Dear Parents,

Thank you to all the parents for volunteering to chaperone the field trip. It was a trip to remember.  Thank you all for your patience with the bus situation.

I have noticed some confusion with the summer uniform. The students are mixing the Summer Uniform and the Winter Uniform. If you feel it is too cool for the summer uniform and choose to send your child in pants it must follow the full Winter Uniform, ie. no sneakers or polo shirts.  The Summer Uniform is as follows:

Summer Uniform – Boys and Girls (Optional)

  – Light blue knit short sleeve shirt (with school name embroidered)

 – Navy blue walking shorts OR navy blue skort (girls only)

– Blue or black belt (required)

– Sneakers – white only

 – Socks – white only (must be ankle socks with a fold over cuff)

Thank you for your help with this matter.

This week will be our final spelling test of the year. We are working with the /aw/ sound spelling this week. The students will be reading a non fiction story about Alexander Graham Bell.

We will be working in Module 6 beginning this week.  The Module concentrates on place value as we have in previous modules. However, we are jumping to lesson 20 to make sure we can give enough time to the money section of the module. After we work on money we will go back to the beginning of the module.

It is hard to believe we are at the last few weeks of school. I have enjoyed each day with your wonderful children.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Fiore
